    I have uninstalled the Genie software and tried the executable that is supposed to install the drivers only. When I install, it gives me a message that the software installed correctly, but when I try to run the Netgear Genie I get an error message: "A6200.exe - Entry Point Not Found - The procedure entry point WTSRegisterSessionNotification could not be located int he dynamic link library WTSAPI32.dll." I downloaded the software from Netgear (the oldest versions I could find). There are no Netgears drivers loaded by default that I am able to find. However, Device Manager shows it is not properly configured. When I connect the Netgear A6200 to the computer, it recognizes it, even knows that it brand/model of the adapter. We have a Netgear A6200 USB Wifi Adapter that I am trying get working with it so that Support can remote in using Team Viewer. This system is NOT connected to our network, nor are there any network connections in the vicinity of the system. we have some manufacturing equipment being run by a very old Windows 2000 PC. and follow the on-screen install instructions.Here is my situation.

  • If you want to install just the adapter drivers without the NETGEAR utility, run A6200_v1.0.0.4_StandAlone-Setup.exe.
  • and follow the on-screen install instructions.

  • If you want to install the adapter drivers including the NETGEAR utility (genie), run A6200_v1.0.0.18_Setup.exe.
  • Do not insert the A6200 adapter until drivers are installed or instructed by on-screen instructions.
  • To uninstall, go to Start > Programs > NETGEAR A6200 > Uninstall NETGEAR A6200.
  • To properly install adapter software, please remove drivers that were previously installed.
  • Using the Download Link below, download and extract the new software to a convenient place such as your desktop.
